‘ФСБ задержала готовившего диверсии в Крыму агента СБУ’
Employees of the FSS detained an agent of the Security Service of Ukraine, preventing several sabotage plans in the Crimea. This was reported by the press service of the service.
“The Federal Security Service of Russia prevented several attempts of sabotage against Crimean infrastructural facilities and the life support of the peninsula. During operational and investigative activities, the Russian Federal Security Service for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol detained an agent of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region, who was sent to the Crimea to carry out acts of sabotage,” the report said.
According to the agency, Ukrainian citizen Gennady Limeshko planned to “turn the Sudak-Novy Svet electricity transmission line into an unusable condition – stopping the supply of electricity – as well as planning to set fire to the forest in the Sudak-Rybache-Alushta area, and create a rock collapse to block the Sudak-Novy Svet road.” In addition, he planned to set fire to one of the communal facilities near the village of Rybachye.
Limeşko was arrested on August 12, and a criminal case was opened.
